When WWE announced its decision to go forward with WrestleMania at the Performance Center instead of postponing it, many fans and media were left asking “why?”. That’s a topic for another day, but it seems that due to Vince McMahon not wanting to postpone the biggest night of the year, some wrestlers are now being forced to miss the show.
Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that both Dana Brooke and Rey Mysterio have been pulled from the WrestleMania card. Brooke was originally supposed to be included in the SmackDown Women’s Championship 6 pack challenge along with Champion Bayley, Tamina, Lacey Evans, Naomi, and Sasha Banks. Brooke is reportedly sick and in quarantine and can no longer compete.
Rey Mysterio is also reported be in quarantine and has been pulled. It seemed that WWE were booking a United States Championship match between Champion Andrade and Rey Mysterio, or a fatal 4 way match between Andrade, Rey, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo. The match now seems to be Andrade and Angel Garza challenging the Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team Championships.
In other injury news, Rezar of the Authors of Pain is reportedly dealing with a torn bicep. It seems that originally, AOP was going to challenge the Street Profits for the tag titles, which shows why Andrade and Garza are challenging now.
