Who the (expletive) is Terry Rozier?

Last night following the 120-106 loss to the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee’s point guard Eric Bledsoe commented in an interview that he didn’t know who Terry Rozier was.  I don’t know if he said that to fire back at Rozier’s comments after game one referring to Eric Bledsoe as former New England Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe, or if he is really taking this matchup nightmare from him personal.

In game one with seconds winding down, Terry Rozier had the ball in his hands and made a crossover move on Bledsoe that just made him look silly, followed by a 3 point shot that wasn’t contested because of its effectiveness.  I was embarrassed for him in that moment, and I could only imagine how he felt.  (Hence these later comments)

If I had to guess I would say that it was not just that shot that has been on Eric Bledsoe’s mind.  Rozier is out-playing him in every single aspect. Bledsoe is averaging 10.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game, including 3 turnovers. Rozier is averaging 23 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.5 rebounds per game in the series and he hasn’t turned the ball over ONCE in 78 minutes so far.  I am starting to see why Bledsoe is so visibly frustrated.

For someone who is matched up on him specifically and out-playing him this bad, it is surprising to hear the comments that were made by Eric.

As the series may not look all that interesting from the outside with the Celtics leading 2-0, the drama and intensity inside is heating up.

The Celtics will visit the Bucks for Game 3 of the series on Friday night on ESPN.

Below are Terry Rozier’s first three seasons as a Celtic.  I am starting to regret not ranking him higher my top 7 most improved list for this year.
