Where Will Nashville Go Under Hynes?

It has been three games since the Nashville Predators fired their Head Coach Peter Laviolette.

In those three games the Predators have lost one game, and won two; although the one loss occurred just hours after newly hired Head Coach John Hynes got off the plane in Nashville.

Following the 6-2 loss to first place Boston, Nashville has defeated Central Division opponents in back-to-back games with a 5-2 win over Chicago, and a 1-0 win over Winnipeg.

Nashville currently sits in fifth place in the Central Division, and are four points out from a Wild Card Spot.

Despite having a top ten offense, Nashville has struggled greatly on both the power play, and penalty kill currently ranked 24th, and 29th respectively.

Head Coach John Hynes has achieved some success in the AHL, however has yet to prove anything at the NHL level as a Head Coach, as he was fired by the New Jersey Devils just over a month ago.

With a roster like Nashville’s this would be Hyne’s ultimate opportunity to prove that he can lead a team to the top.

So far Nashville fans can not complain about the three games Hynes has coached, however the Predators need to keep their foot on the gas pedal if they want to get themselves out of the hole they put themselves in to start the season.

Nashville will play the Edmonton Oilers on the road tomorrow at 9:00 PM ET as they look to win their third consecutive game.
