After making it to the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season, the Vegas Golden Knights appeared to be off to a shaky start this season.
However, with their 4-2 win over Dallas yesterday, Vegas now has five home wins in a row, and has gone 8-2-0 in their last ten games.
These eight wins consist of a 4-3 win over Chicago, a 5-3 win over Washington, a 4-3 win over Vancouver, a 8-3 win over Chicago, a 6-0 win over the Sharks, a 2-0 win over Calgary, and a 3-2 win over the Coyotes.
A key component of their late success is their penalty kill.
Vegas’ penalty kill is sixth in the league with a success rate of 83.2%.
Leading the way in points is Marchessault, Karlsson, and Tuch.
Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson each have 23 points, and Alex Tuch adds 22 points to the mix.
However, with this season consisting of some of the highest scoring offenses in years, Vegas is going to need more than four players with over 20 points.
Along with that, in net Marc-Andre Fleury will need to continue to be on his game as he has 17 wins, and 5 shutouts on the season.
Fleury also has a goals against average of 2.51, and a save percentage of .908.
Vegas will look to continue their climb up the standings as they take on the Islanders Tuesday at 7:00 PM ET.
