Urban Meyer to step down as Ohio State coach following Rose Bowl

Around 4:30 on Tuesday morning, it was released that Urban Meyer will be retiring following the 2018 season. Urban Meyer will coach the rest of the season and will lead Ohio State to the Rose Bowl to take on Chris Peterson an the Washington Huskies.

Urban Meyer has served as head coach of Bowling Green from 2001 to 2002, the Utah Utes from 2003 to 2004, and the Florida Gators from 2005 to 2010. In his time at Ohio State he has led them to a CFB National Championship beating the Oregon Ducks in 2014.

Urban Meyer has an overall record of 186-32, which includes: 3 National Championships, 2 Mountain West Championships, 2 SEC Championships, and 3 Big Ten Championships.

Following the Rose Bowl he will retire immediately, and Offensive Coordinator Ryan Day will replace him as head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
