Update on Justin Allgaier After Thursday’s Race at Kentucky

On the last lap of Thursday evenings Shady Ray’s 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Kentucky Speedway, Justin Allgaier, Ronnie Bassett Jr. and Timmy Hill were involved in a crash that sent the No. 90 of Bassett Jr. hard into the inside wall. Hill and Bassett Jr. would walk away from the incident, but the same could not be said for Justin Allgaier. Allgaier was transported to a local hospital following the crash, and his JR Motorsports team released the following statement via Tweet Friday morning updating everyone on the No. 7 driver:

As of now, there is no word as to why Allgaier was admitted to the hospital after the race. There is also no update as to whether or not Allgaier will be able to compete in the second Xfinity Series race of the weekend, which takes the green flag Friday night at 8pm. We will update you on his condition as the day progresses.
