Tiger Woods Wins His 5th Masters

Tiger Woods Wins His 5th Masters

Earlier today, Tiger clawed his way up the leaderboard to seize first place, winning the tournament with a final score of 13 under (-13). His birdie on the 16th hole gave him sole possession of the lead at 14 under, and despite the bogey on the 18th hole, no one could catch him. Woods was able to edge out the likes of Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele, and Brooks Koepka who all finished at 12 under. This is Tigers’ first Masters win since 2005, with his other wins coming in 1997, 2000, and 2001. This fifth win puts him one away from tying Jack Nicklaus for the most wins at the event. He is only two away from having a green jacket for every day of the week. In addition to this honor, Woods has also earned a $2,070,000 prize (which was larger than originally projected) as well as 600 FedEx Cup Points. We can all now say with confidence that Tiger is back!
