Texas Rangers To Retire Beltre’s 29

The Texas Rangers have announced that the number 29 will be retired this upcoming season in honor of Adrian Beltre’s retirement. There is no official date on when the ceremony will be held.

Beltre played with the Rangers for 8 of his 21 seasons in the majors. This will be only the 5th number to be retired by the Rangers and the other members include Nolan Ryan, Johnny Oates, Ivan ‘Pudge’ Rodriguez, and Jackie Robinson.

Beltre joined both the 3000 hit club and 400+ home runs club as a Ranger and finished with 199 HR and 1,277 hits during his Texas tenure. He totaled 477 HRs and 3,166 hits in his entire career between 4 teams.
