Tennessee Titans Lock Up Edge Rusher Bud Dupree

The Tennessee Titans lock up LB Bud Dupree. They have taken one of the top edge rushers off the market. Tennessee also steals a player from the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 22nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft has spent his entire career in Pittsburgh. The deal is going to be a multi-year deal worth $16.5 million per year. Many teams were rumored to be interested in acquiring his services this off-season but not many were willing to pay a pre-torn ACL fee for him.

The only downside to Dupree is that he tore his ACL late in the season. Obviously the Titans felt comfortable enough with his place in rehab to offer him a big money deal. The Tennessee Titans lock up one of the biggest problems in the AFC North. In his career he has 231 career tackles, 39.5 sacks, 8 forced fumbles, and 65 QB hits. Dupree is an animal who plays on another level.

The Titans and Steelers are both playoff contenders in the AFC. This move is a huge momentum shift between the two teams. Dupree joins a defense that already has Harold Landry, Jeffery Simmons, and DaQuan Jones. Jadeveon Clowney is likely to walk in free agency and it seems like they had a solid plan for his replacement.
