Tampa Bay Star Rookie Safety Not Playing Today

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a very important NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers this afternoon. Earlier this week, it was announced that WR Antonio Brown would not play as he recovers from a knee injury. Today it was announced that star rookie safety Antoine Winfield Jr would also miss the game.

He will miss the game with an ankle injury. Winfield Jr has been a wrecking ball on the field all season. The Bucs defense will miss his critical play ability against the Packers offense. Winfield Jr had 64 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and an interception during this year’s regular season.
