No, there’s no MVP award for the eight games played in the NBA bubble in Orlando. If there was one, however, it would probably go to T.J. Warren.
The Pacers forward is averaging just shy of 40 points per game along with along with a pair of blocks and steals per game since arriving at Disney. His scoring outburst ties him with Jermaine O’Neal as the most by any Pacer in a three game stretch (119).
Warren has done this on incredible efficiency, shooting over 60% from the field and from behind the arc while also shooting over 80% from the free throw line. On top of that, he hasn’t committed a single turnover in the Pacers three games in the bubble, which were are all wins.
The Pacers were not considered threats in the Eastern Conference playoff picture due to the absence of All-Star Domantas Sabonis and Victor Oladipo. As the team continues to get into rhythm and if Warren continues his play, they could be dark horses for a first round upset.
