Report: San Francisco and George Kittle Close to Massive Extention

Since entering the NFL in 2017, George Kittle has made his name known proving to be one of the best Tight Ends in the league. With the way Kittle has played, he is about to get a massive payday. On Wednesday, it was reported by Sports Illustrated that The San Francisco 49ers and Kittle are close to a massive contract extension and will get done on Friday. The contract will pay Kittle $15.6 million a season for 6 years and be worth $94.8 million.


After the report came out, George Kittle went out on Twitter and shut down the rumors that San Francisco and him are close to a deal despite the Sports Illustrated report. Kittle is on the last year of his rookie contract.


In 14 games played last season, George Kittle recorded 85 receptions for 1,053 yards, 5 touchdowns on 107 targets. Over the past two seasons, Kittle has been over 1000 receiving yards and having over 80 receptions. Kittle was a key contributor on offense helping San Francisco go to the Super Bowl last season where they lost to The Kansas City Chiefs.
