Rangers Fire Quinn After 3 Seasons

On May 5th, the New York Rangers fired Team President John Davidson and General Manager Jeff Gordon. With the team out of playoff contention, New York is not done making changes. On Wednesday, the team fired David Quinn after 3 seasons with the team. Quinn finished the season with a 27-23-6 record.

In 3 Seasons with the team, Quinn had a 96-87-25 record never making the playoff during his tenure. New York got eliminated in the Qualifying Round against the Carolina Hurricanes last season. After a successful tenure as the Head Coach of the Boston Univerisity Men’s Hockey Team, the expectations for Quinn were high coming to New York but the team did not finish higher than 5th in the division during his time in New York.
