Quin Snyder answers questions on Rubio’s timetable for return on hamstring injury

Ricky Rubio exited Saturdays game 6 against the Thunder early in the first quarter with a hamstring injury.  This is the same hamstring that had caused him to miss games earlier in the season.  He ended up missing the entire game, and if you know hamstring injuries, you know that if you miss one game you’re probably going to miss a few.  Coach Snyder was asked if he had any new information on Ricky’s injury.  Here’s what he said. (3 minutes and twenty six seconds in).

Ricky Rubio is averaging 16/8/8 so far in the playoffs. The only other players that are doing that this year are LeBron James, Ben Simmons, and Russell Westbrook.  If Rubio misses any more time, do you think that hinders Utah’s chances at competing with the Houston Rockets in round two?

Last night was a great example of the “next man up” mindset we always hear about in sports. Snyder says in the video that Rubio would have played if he could have. It was a close out game at home, and you have to think it’s a little more on the serious side than the cautious side.  Snyder says he will be re-evaluated tomorrow as the Jazz have less than 36 hours to prepare for the Houston Rockets. This Utah Jazz team did rise to the occasion though, closing out the series against the Oklahoma City Thunder without their so-called head of the snake, and the engine of the offense.

Rubio reports have come out saying he could miss up to 10 days.
