After a Brad Keselowski victory in Sunday’s Foxwoods Resorts and Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, there’s always the dreaded Monday penalty report. So, here it is!
Brad Keselowski was found to have no issues with post-race inspection, so he is officially the winner. However, his No. 2 Ford did not escape some sort of the post-race penalty. The No. 2 of Keselowski, No. 8 of Tyler Reddick and No. 19 of Martin Truex Jr. were all found to have one lug nut lose at the end of the race. This results in a $10,000 fine for each crew chief of the listed cars.
The No. 14 of Clint Bowyer had two lug nuts lose at the end of the race, resulting in a one race suspension for crew chief John Klausmeier and a $20,000 fine.
There were also two penalties handed out before the green flag on Sunday, as both the No. 43 of Bubba Wallace and the No. 32 of Corey LaJoie were both penalized. Both cars were found to have improperly mounted ballast, which resulted in suspensions for both crew chiefs on Sunday, as well as the loss of ten owner/driver points. Both cars also lost their qualifying draw positions and were forced to start from the rear.
