Picks Against The Spread: Week 3

Picks Against The Spread: Week 3

Last week was a tough week, all the injuries really changed the outcome of many games, duh. I still went 7-7, so I didn’t have a losing record. I feel good about my picks this week, LET’S GET TO IT!

Las Vegas Raiders vs. New England Patriots (-5.5)

Look, I really like this Raiders team, I do. I’ve always been a big Derek Carr fan, I love Jon Gruden, Darren Waller is a stud. That being said, the Patriots are a legit team. Cam looks to be in his 2015 form, the defense, as always, is technically sound and doesn’t make mistakes. The teams are equal in talent, so this comes down to coaching. I’ll take the GOAT, Bill Belichick.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills (-1)

I was never down on the Rams like most. They were 9-7 last year and were about 5 minutes away from being 10-6. They are a good team, but so are the Bills. Yeah, they haven’t beat anyone great yet, but look at the roster, they’re stacked. A line of 1 is essentially a pick ’em, I’ll take the Bills at home.

Houston Texans (+4) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

I’m not sold on this Steelers team. They beat the Giants, but not like they should have. Jeff Driskel, a career backup, gave that defense a fit last week. This is a must win game for Houston, they have to at least be competitive here.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6) vs. Denver Broncos

I was really big on the Broncos coming into this season, but they are really banged up. I think Tampa Bay builds on their win last week and handles the Broncos.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks (-5)

I vowed last week I’m not betting on the Cowboys anymore, and I’m not, even though I really like them +5 this week. However, stud rookie corner Trevon Diggs isn’t healthy this week. Who’s going to guard DK? #RussKeepsCooking

San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Giants (+3.5)

Sadly, the 49ers season ended last week. They lost a lot of starters, the biggest being star pass rusher, Nick Bosa. Jimmy G and George Kittle will not be active, I just don’t see them winning this game.

Washington Football Team (+7) vs. Cleveland Browns

Very simple logic here. Baker’s stats under pressure are atrocious, and Washington has, in my opinion, the best pass rush in the league.

Chicago Bears vs. Atlanta Falcons (-3)

Atlanta was embarrassed last week, and now Dan Quinn is coaching for his job. That’s a dangerous combination. I also have a feeling Trubisky falls flat on his face this week and becomes that below average QB we have all come to know and love.

New York Jets vs. Indianapolis Colts (+11.5)

The Jets are a dumpster fire. That is all.

Carolina Panthers vs. Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5)

Carolina’s offense runs through Christian McCaffrey, and he’s on IR. Teddy B looked very bad last week once McCaffrey left the game, and their defense isn’t good enough to keep this game close for him to make mistakes.

Detroit Lions vs. Arizona Cardinals (-5.5)

I’m going to keep riding this Kyler Murray hype train, he is incredible. I also am out on the Lions, they’re not good with Matt Patricia at the helm. This could get out of hand quick.

Green Bay Packers (+3) vs. New Orleans Saints

Is Michael Thomas playing this week? *looks at notes* No? Okay, that makes this easy then. Saints lose.

Cincinnati Bengals (+4.5) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

“Bryce, how is this a wild card pick? The Eagles are terrible!” Yeah, but this is a must win game for them. Let’s not kid ourselves here, without Joe Burrow, so are the Bengals. Speaking of Joe Burrow, this is the week he really steps onto center stage. He’s going to outplay Carson Wentz and beat the Eagles.

Kansas City Chiefs (+3.5) vs. Baltimore Ravens (-3.5)

SHOOTOUT ALERT! SHOOTOUT ALERT! This is going to be a high scoring game between the best two teams in the AFC. The Ravens definitely have the better roster, but you can never count out Patrick Mahomes. Best game of the week to watch, worst one to bet on though.

Tennessee Titans (-3) vs. Minnesota Vikings (+3)

Just like last week, I know what I’m getting with the Titans. I just don’t know what to expect from the Vikings. They are another team in a must win situation, and Kirk Cousins has a habit of bouncing back after terrible games.

Well, those are the picks for this week. I feel really good about most of these. Thanks for reading and happy gambling!
