As the NBA season continues to be on hold, the Brooklyn Nets organization have mulled over a trade for Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal. He would join All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant to form one of the deadliest looking offensive cores in the league. Beal was putting up career highs in points (30.5) and assists (6.1) before the season unexpectedly ended due to COVID-19.
A trade of this magnitude would likely require parting with budding star Caris Levert, who is averaging a career high 17.7 point this season. He has battled injuries but has shown promise in his fourth year in the NBA, including a 51 point showing against the Celtics in early March.
It is unknown if Beal is currently on the trade block, but this new information shows that the league is still hard at work and preparing for a comeback. Bradley Beal joining a rested Brooklyn Nets team could be a potential threat in the Eastern Conference playoffs if the season resumes.
