NCAAF Games of the Week

NCAAF Games of the Week

It’s Week 12 in the College Football Universe and many teams are trying to keep their College Football Playoff dreams alive. #13 Baylor (vs Oklahoma) and #8 Minnesota (at Iowa) are the only unbeaten teams playing a ranked opponent this week. On the other hand you have a HUGE SEC match-up between #4 Georgia and #12 Auburn, which could knock Georgia out of the playoff picture with a loss. Here are the games of the week with some predictions.

5. Indiana vs #9 Penn State

The Penn State Nittany Lions are ready to bounce back from their first loss of the season (31-26 vs Minnesota) as they take on the Indiana Hoosiers who are 0-2 against ranked opponents this season. When you look at the teams on paper this could be a battle, because the Hoosiers average more yards per game, but also average less points per game. The downfall for the Hoosiers is they just lost starting QB Michael Penix Jr., which could give the Nittany Lions an advantage. Prediction #9 Penn State over Indiana 42-31

4. #23 Navy vs #16 Notre Dame

The Navy Midshipmen and Notre Dame are both ranked going into a match-up for the first time since 1978. I like Navy’s triple option and believe that will be their key to victory. Prediction #23 Navy 30 #16 Notre Dame 21

3. #8 Minnesota vs #20 Iowa

Minnesota is coming off a HUGE win against Penn State this week and are trying to keep their College Football Playoff dream alive. On paper this looks like a game Minnesota should be able to win if their offense can continue their average of 432.9 yards per game, but Iowa’s defense is going to look to keep their less than 300 yards a game average down. I think this will be another thriller. Prediction #8 Minnesota 24 #20 Iowa 20

2. #4 Georgia vs #12 Auburn

Georgia is somehow ranked #4 and in prime position for a playoff after losing to South Carolina weeks ago. This game will be a close one, but Georgia goes down. Prediction #12 Auburn 38 #4 Georgia 35

1. #10 Oklahoma vs #13 Baylor

The Baylor Bears are looking to maintain their spot as #1 in the Big 12 with a win over the Oklahoma Sooners. Baylor has struggled with West Virginia and TCU in recent weeks, so expect Jalen Hurts to have a field day in Waco. Prediction #10 Oklahoma 63 #13 Baylor 10
