Nazem Kadri Suspended For 8 Games

On Wednesday night during a game between the Colorado Avalanche, and the St Louis Blues, Nazem Kadri was ejected during the 3rd period after an illegal check to the head on Justin Faulk, injuring Faulk and ruling him out for Game 3. Even though Colorado won Game 2, the team will be without Kadri for a while. On Friday night, the NHL announced that Kadri has been suspended 8 games for his check on Faulk.

In 56 games this season, Kadri had 11 goals, 21 assists, and a plus-minus of -7. Last season, Kadri was crucial for Colorado in the playoffs with 9 goals, 9 assists, in 15 games played with a plus-minus of +3

Despite this being the first suspension for Kadri since being traded to Colorado Avalanche, Kadri has a history of getting suspended by the NHL. Throughout his career, Nazem Kadri has been suspended for 18 games all with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
