Announced on Thursday, NASCAR has outlined the second phase of their return to racing. With the series set to return to racing this Sunday at Darlington followed by races at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the series will now travel to additional circuits beginning with Bristol Motor Speedway on May 30th. Atlanta, Martinsville, Homestead-Miami and Talladega will host rounds for the three top tiers of NASCAR. ARCA will also contest a round at Talladega on June 20th.
With the changes announced today, NASCAR also announced the postponement of races at Kansas Speedway (May30-31), Michigan International Speedway (June 5-7), the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (May 30) and the Gander Outdoors Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway on June 5th. All events at Iowa Speedway in 2020 have been canceled as well. The races listed below will be contested without fans present, as NASCAR continues to evaluate when and if fans will be allowed back in the grandstands. Additional changes to the schedule will be announced at a later date.
