The Minnesota Vikings kicker, Daniel Carson, has been released from the team. In Sunday’s bloodbath-like bout against the Green Bay Packers, he went 0 for 3 on field goal attempts, one of those being a 35-yard game winner in over time.
After the release of Carson, the Vikings began to search for another kicker, and it just so happens to be the former Dallas Cowboys kicker, Dan Bailey. The Cowboys cut Bailey just as the season was about to kick off, and he has been on the free agency list since.
Dan Bailey is the second most accurate kicker to ever play football professionally. Bailey was the kicker for the Cowboys since 2011. He has only missed two of the 278 extra points he has kicked, and has made 186 out of the 211 field goals he has kicked.
I think it is safe to say that the addition of Dan Bailey makes the Vikings a better team. We all remember plays of the past when Blair Walsh missed a kick that sent the Vikings home. The Vikings shouldn’t have too much worry on the kicker situation after bringing the star Dan Bailey.
How do you think the addition of Dan Bailey will do for the Minnesota Vikings?
