Minnesota Adds Another Big Man Up Front

Minnesota Adds Another Big Man Up Front

The Minnesota Vikings made a move late last night to add a big man into their front seven. Former New York Giants NT Dalvin Tomlinson is heading to the twin city on a two year, $22 million deal. Tomlinson has spent his entire four year career with the New York Giants so far.

The new Vikings nose tackles will lineup great alongside Michael Pierce and Danielle Hunter. Hunter may potentially have asked for a trade however, maybe this move will be enough to keep him around. This move is very similar to when they signed Linval Joseph a few years ago.

In his first four years with the Giants, he had a total of 207 tackles, 20 QB hits, 8 sacks, and one forced fumble. Tomlinson will the second in a 4-3 defensive system where they use two nose tackles.

Minnesota has the ability to clear some cap space as well to make another big splash on day 2 of the NFL free agency period. who else should they go after as we get into day 2?
