Per ESPN, at least three teams will pursue Carmelo Anthony once he comes to an agreement with Oklahoma City on a buyout. The Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Miami Heat all plan to try and persuade Anthony to join their respective clubs.
According to Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report), Carmelo Anthony has stated that the Los Angeles are one of his preferred destinations. Anthony is reportedly excited about the opportunity to finally play with his 2003 NBA draft partner, LeBron James.
Schultz also reported that Chris Paul plans to advocate for his long time friend, Anthony, to join him in Houston. Paul is urging the Rockets to go after Melo to create their big three, Paul, Harden and Anthony.
