Marlins Reportedly Partied Prior To Covid-19 Outbreak

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Covid outbreak amongst the Marlins may be the result of the team attending a party in Atlanta.

According to the reporter, at least one player spent the night out following an exhibition game against the Atlanta Braves.

At this point, over fifteen Marlins have tested positive for the virus. Their season is paused until at least sunday, but we have to wonder what players they will be playing when they resume play.

While other leagues are using the bubble city method, the MLB has opted to let the teams travel from stadium to stadium.

If players going out is really behind the recent outbreak, there should be multiple suspensions and fines handed out to both the players and the organization. It would look absolutely horrible for Major League Baseball to let a potentially league ending incident like this go without penalty.
