Major League Baseball and YouTube TV Sign Huge New Deal

The MLB Network is now available for streaming on YouTube TV.

While the financial terms were not disclosed, the two groups announced Thursday that they have come to a deal with the Google owned subscription television service, and Major League Baseball games will be streamed through the service in the 2018 season.

During the 2017 World Series, MLB and YouTube TV signed a marketing partnership in which Major League Baseball advertised the streaming service during the series, while they were given access to stream the games to their subscribers.

YouTube TV now adds another network to their growing roster of channels which includes ABC, Fox, and ESPN. The provider raised its monthly subscription to $40 a month in February promising the addition of MLB Games and NBA TV.

As part of the expanded deal, the MLB will continue to promote YouTube TV in the 2018 and 2019 World Series, while the service provider gets access to use professional players in its own promotions and advertising.
