Toni Storm

Billed From: Australia

Height: 5 ft 6 in

Finisher: Storm Zero

Championships: Inaugural PROGRESS Women’s Champion, current wXw Woman’s Champion, former STARDOM Champion, 5-Star Grand Prix winner, Cinderella Tournament winner.

Summary of career and how winning would help: Toni has won over 15 championships, dominating the Japanese and European scenes. Storm also made it to the semi-finals in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Winning this year’s Classic would only add to Storm’s successful career. The crazy thing is, she’s only 23. Storm could be the face of the NXT UK Woman’s division, and winning this tourney would not only put her but the whole NXT UK division on the map.

Billed From: England

Height: 5 ft 6 in

Finisher: Middle Rope X-Factor

Championships: Current PROGRESS Woman’s Champion, former RevPro Woman’s Champion

Promotions: PROGRESS, Revolution Pro Wrestling, WWE NXT UK

Summary of career and how winning would help:  Jinny has already competed and defeated multiple woman that are currently signed to WWE, including Dakota Kai, Toni Storm, Nixon Newell. She has also defeated follow MYC competitors Mercedes Martinez and Deonna Purrazzo. She is the current PROGRESS woman’s champion, after defeating Toni Storm. Winning this tournament would propel Jinny into the spotlight in NXT UK.

Rhea Ripley

Billed From: Australia

Height: 5 ft 8 in

Finisher: Full Nelson Slam

Championships: 2-Time Riot City Woman’s Champion

Promotions: Riot City Wrestling, Professional Wrestling Alliance, NXT

Summary of career and how winning would help: Ripley competed in Australia for 4 years before coming to WWE. She also competed in the first ever Mae Young Classic, and was the youngest competitor at the age of 20. She made it to the second round, but ended up losing to Dakota Kai. Ripley hasn’t had much TV time, but winning this tournament would put her up there with the top competitors. At the age of 22, Rhea still has her whole career ahead of her.

Deonna Purrazzo

Billed From: USA

Height: 5 ft 2 in

Finisher: Fujiwara Arm Bar

Championships: Woman of Honor Wrestler of the Year

Promotions:  Ring of Honor, Queens of Combat, Total Nonstop Action, SHIMMER

Summary of career and how winning would help: Known as the “Fujiwara ArmBar Specialist”, Purrazzo has a vicious submission game. She also has wrestled with Candace LaRae and Ruby Riott from her Queens of Combat days. Deonna competed in TNA multiple times, but never had any big success. After several appearances on NXT, Purrazzo finally got signed this past month to the brand. She has plenty of experience, and could be a darkhorse in this event.

Kavita Devi

Billed From: India

Height: 5 ft 9 in

Finisher: Spear

Championships: Gold Medal in Powerlifting

Promotions: WWE NXT

Summary of career and how winning would help: Devi was the first ever Indian woman to be signed by WWE, and competed in the first MYC. She lost in the first round to Dakota Kai, but was very impressive in the effort. She was also one of the few NXT women to compete in the Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal. Winning this tournament would put the whole country of India in the spotlight, and could inspire many other women to start wrestling.

Xia Brookside

Billed From: United Kingdom

Height: 5 ft 3 in

Finisher: Brookside Bomb

Championships: Current IPW:UK Women’s Champion

Promotions: STARDOM, IPW:UK, RISE, Queens of Combat

Summary of career and how winning would help: At the age of 19, Brookside already has an insane amount of experience and success. Xia is a “british strong style” type wrestler and has wrestled in the UK, Japan, and various other countries. She is also the daughter of NXT Trainer Robby Brookside. Winning this event would make her the youngest superstar in WWE, and would add to her already impressive career.

Isla Dawn

Billed From: Scotland

Height: 5 ft 7in

Finisher: Dragon Sleeper

Promotions: Scottish Wrestling Alliance, SHINE, NOVA, WWE NXT UK

Summary of career and how winning would help: With most of her time spent in England, Dawn singed with the NXT UK brand and will be a highlighted member of the division. Much like Toni Storm, if Dawn can win this competition, it will put a spotlight on NXT UK women’s division.

Priscilla Kelly

Billed From: USA

Height: 5 ft 5 in

Finisher: Tilt-a-Whirl Dragon Sleeper

Championships: Inaugural SHINE Nova Champion

Promotions: Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment, SHINE, EVOLVE

Summary of career and how winning would help:  At just 21, Kelly is just getting into her wrestling career. She also earned the nickname Queen of AWE, as she’s been with the company since 2015. After competing in the first ever SHINE Nova Championship, she ended up winning the event becoming the first ever champion. I believe Kelly could be an underdog in this tournament, and winning could make her a star if she chooses to sign with the company.

Look forward to the next set of wrestlers in the upcoming days!
