Love Him Or Hate Him, MJF is the Future of AEW

All Elite Wrestling as we know it is only in its infancy, and one man has stood out from the crowd of talent in AEW and that man is Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

Born on March 15th, 1996, Friedman graduated from Plainview – Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview, NY in 2014. While in school, Friedman played football and was named an All County Honorable Mention his senior year.

Friedman trained with Pat Buck and Curt Hawkins at the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy while also wrestling for many northeast wrestling promotions during his early years. Wrestling for CZW from 2015 to 2018, Friedman mastered his in ring work and microphone work, while developing his MJF persona.

On January 9th, 2019, All Elite Wrestling announced the signing of Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Honestly, when I first heard this announcement, I said to myself, “Who?” It took one appearance at Double or Nothing for me to see that this guy knows what hes doing, and can carry the company to the future.

His heel turn at the expense of “best friend” Cody Rhodes was perfectly executed, and now, we have the ground work laid out for one of the best heels in the industry today going into the future. Friedman’s microphone work and promos are some of the best I’ve personally ever seen and his ring work is also on par with the best out there. The pairing of Friedman and Wardlow is a perfect fit, with Friedman doing the talking and Wardlow doing the dirty work.

AEW has a gem in Maxwell Jacob Friedman, that is for certain. The future for AEW is bright, thanks to the heel we love or hate, MJF.
