Lamar Jackson shows off talent in first NFL win

The Heisman trophy winner in 2016 led the Ravens to a victory against the Bengals. Lamar Jackson showed off his talents in the passing and running game. This game may be a small sample size, however Jackson proved he could lead his team to victory with the absence of Joe Flacco.

The Ravens were able to beat the Bengals 24-21 in the hands of Jackson, who had a total of 150 passing yards and 117 rushing yards. The Ravens defense was able to hold up their end, limiting Andy Dalton and the Bengals to 21 points.

Is it too early to get excited for Lamar Jackson? Even though Jackson put together an exciting performance, Joe Flacco will still be the starting quarterback for the 5-5 Ravens. The Ravens are now tied for 2nd place in the AFC North with the Bengals. If Lamar Jackson continues to show what he is capable of, he could land a possible starting job at quarterback over the next couple of years.
