Kovalchuk has officially agreed to a 3-year deal with the Los Angeles Kings.
The 35-year-old will sign the contract July 1st and will be returning to the NHL in October.
This is the first time Kovalchuk will be in the NHL since the 2012-13 season where he recorded 31 points with the New Jersey Devils.
