Below are the current odds for which team will win next year’s Super Bowl. The odds have been affected by the crazy free agent period we have had so far. We will be looking at the current top 10 most likely to win and what I think you can take away from it.
Current NFL Odds to Win Super Bowl LV
Kansas City Chiefs 9/2
Baltimore Ravens 5/1
San Francisco 49ers 10/1
Dallas Cowboys 14/1
New Orleans Saints 14/1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14/1
Green Bay Packers 20/1
Indianapolis Colts 20/1
Philadelphia Eagles 20/1
Seattle Seahawks 20/1
Buffalo Bills 30/1
All in on Tampa- With the addition of Tom Brady and the already abundance of offensive talent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to not only make the playoffs but have a deep run. This year we should be able to see how good this team can be with a QB who won’t throw them out of games.
The Saints have a chance- Even after the Saints have now had three disappointing postseasons, I still believe them to be a Super Bowl contender. The team has not changed very much with their biggest free agent headline being losing Teddy Bridgewater to Carolina. I think the bigger story is retaining Drew Brees and running it back one more time in the hopes of getting his second title. I don’t think you can count them out and I don’t think the odds makers are either.
Believe in the Bills- Coming off a successful 10-6 season, a playoff berth and progression of their franchise quarterback, the Bills should be feeling confident about next season. I don’t believe them to be a Super Bowl contender quite yet, but I think now the expectation is for them to make the playoffs and win at least one game. The AFC East is in some disarray, and I think now is a perfect opportunity for the Bills to step up and dethrone the Patriots.
Dallas is stacked- We all know the Dallas Cowboys have talent on both sides of the ball despite that fact they have underperformed and last year they missed the playoffs! It was a surprise to even most experts as many of them had picked Dallas going to the Super Bowl. I think this is the year, with Dak Prescott being given the franchise tag and the hiring of Mike McCarthy, that they must win. They are running out of time before they must pay Dak and I don’t know if the roster will ever be this talented again after they inevitably have to.
Mahomes Magic- My biggest takeaway is if you have Patrick Mahomes you will be the favorite. Coming off a Super Bowl victory and retaining the offensive pieces around him, the Chiefs are in a great position to repeat. Mahomes was beat up a lot of last season, we will see if he can stay healthy and have similar playoff heroics.
Honorable Mentions: Can Lamar Jackson Win in the postseason? Does Green Bay have enough weapons on offense? If you have Russell Wilson you have a chance. Patriots not top 10 without Brady .
