Kessel To Stay In Pittsburgh

General Manager Jim Rutherford pretty much confirmed Monday that Phil Kessel will not be traded during the off season despite multiple rumors about a shaky relationship with Head Coach Mike Sullivan.

During an interview with Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Monday, Rutherford stated, “It’ll be business as usual” when talking about how he feels next season will be.

Kessel has four years remaining on his contract and it is known his relationship with Sullivan can be tense at times, however I feel both of them can move forward and continue their successful careers.
