Kapanen Traded to Pittsburgh

According to Elliotte Friedman, Toronto Maple Leafs’ Forward Kasperi Kapanen is heading back to Pittsburgh where he was drafted in the first round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft before being traded to Toronto as part of the blockbuster Kessel trade.

Heading to Pittsburgh from Toronto are Kasperi Kapanen, Jesper Lindberg, and Pontus Aberg, in exchange for a 2020 first round draft tape, Evan Rodrigues, Filip Hallander, and David Warsofsky.

Kapanen had 36 points in 69 games played this year for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
