After helping Kansas City beat the San Francisco 49ers and win the Super Bowl last season, Travis Kelce is about to get rewarded with an extension. On Thursday, Kansas City and Kelce agreed on a 4- year extension worth $57.25 million and $28 million per season. Kelce had 2 years left on his current contract.

Over the past seven seasons, Kelce has proved himself to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL and be a valuable piece to the Kansas City Chiefs offense. In  16 games last season, Kelce totaled 96 receptions, 1,229 receiving yards,  and 5 touchdowns while averaging 12.7 yards per catch.
