Jose Bautista ‘Braves’ Free Agency, Finds Home

Jose Bautista has finally found a place on a roster, though it is not a MLB roster. . . yet.

Atlanta Braves General Manager, Alex Anthopoulos, was with ‘Joey Bats’ when he reached stardom during his stint in Toronto with the Blue Jays. Knowing of the potential, and undeniable power, Bautista possesses, Anthopoulos decided to take a chance on the Free Agent and sign him to a Minor League contract.

However, the contract comes with virtually no risk at all. While the amount of the contract is undisclosed, a source close to the situation stated that the signing comes with the understanding that Bautista will only play third-base and will make $1 million if he make the MLB roster as a third baseman; according to MLB.Com’s Mark Feinsand.
