Both teams have players dealing with injuries from their previous series. Here’s an injury outlook going into the NBA Finals.
Andre Iguodala (leg) OUT
His absence has turned out to have been felt a little more than most probably expected. Through all the stardom in Golden State, it’s easy to forget the impact that Iggy really has on both sides of the court. With Iguodala being the main defender that the Warriors usually throw at LeBron it will be missed even more.
The bruise on his bone will keep him out of his 5th straight playoff game.
Kevin Love (concussion protocol) Has not been ruled out yet.(UPDATE 12:05 pm Love has been cleared to play.)
Love still has to pass the NBA’s concussion protocol to be available to play in game 1. With a past of concussions, it’s felt that he probably won’t be cleared for the first game. If he is able to go coach Ty Lue said he won’t be coming off the bench. If Cleveland wants any chance at winning, Love will need to be a force in this series.
Patrick McCaw (back) Available to play
Back in March McCaw suffered a pretty bad fall right on his tailbone. He’s been out since then. He was actually cleared to play in game 7 against the Houston Rockets but didn’t crack the Rotation. He will be available in Steve Kerr’s arsenal for game 1… as if they needed anymore help.
