Heat steal game two and home court from the 76ers

We all just witnessed a classic Dwayne Wade playoff performance.  I can see me watching a hardwood classic in 20 years from now of this game.  Wade finished with 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists as he and the Heat snapped the Sixers 17 game winning streak.  He also passed Larry Bird for 10th on the the all time playoff scoring list.

Once I started realizing that the Heat were going to steal this game, my first thought was “I bet the Sixers regret not playing Embiid in this one after being cleared by team doctors”.  The Miami Heat were able to control the game, and forced the Sixers to play at their pace. A pace that Embiid would have been a difference maker in.

The 76ers made a small adjustment to open this one up, starting Ilysaova at center over Amir Johnson.  It was a good coaching move by Brent Brown as Ilysaova shot 70% for the game, scoring 14 points and putting together a double double with 11 rebounds.  Still, without a doubt they would rather have Joel Embiid in that spot.  Ben Simmons nearly had another triple double with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists, but it wasn’t enough to put the fire out for the Heat.

This series just got a lot more interesting as everyone was predicting Philadelphia to breeze right on through.  Game three will be on Thursday, and Philly will look to take back the home court they worked so hard for in the regular season.
