The Vegas Golden Knights revealed brand new third jerseys on Friday afternoon, giving a “golden” look to the franchise.
According to Brian Killingsworth, Vegas’ chief marketing officer, Golden Knights’ owner Bill Foley had envisioned a gold jersey in the mix for the past two years. With the help of NHL sponsor Adidas, the Golden Knights have created a metallic gold jersey, the first ever of its colour in the NHL. In a statement, the team said their vision was to be “bold and bright just like the city that this team is proud to call home.”
The jersey was unveiled with the help of singer Wayne Newton and rapper Lil Jon, who starred in a music video wearing the iconic gold jerseys.

The organization wanted to come up with a design that the players would feel comfortable wearing, and one that fans could don at games and while spending a night on Las Vegas Boulevard. The plan is to wear the third jersey at all upcoming Friday night home games next season, but more details will be announced in the future.

The jersey features an iconic metallic gold colour scheme with black numbers and white trim. The nameplate is also metallic gold, with the lettering coloured steel gray to match the current jersey colour. The third jerseys also have a white and red stripe on the sleeves, something that mimics the current layout.
The Golden Knights are selling a “777 Treasure Chest” which will be a package including the new golden jersey with brand new metallic gold Adida Ultraboost shoes. The total price of the package will be $777, which is a representation of the 7-7-7 slot machine casino game.
The packages will go on sale to the general public on Saturday.
