At the conclusion of the fourth week of the NHL Regular Season, the Washington Capitals sit first overall with a record of 9-2-3, followed by the Boston Bruins, and Buffalo Sabres tied for second with 20 points.
Here are the three stars of the week:
3. Pekka Rinne (NSH):

Goaltender Pekka Rinne started two games this week for the Predators.
Rinne recorded shutouts in both games as Nashville defeated the Wild 4-0, and the Blackhawks 3-0.
The Finnish goalie saved a total of 46 shots between the two games.
2. Alexander Ovechkin (WSH):

In three games played this week Ovechkin recorded four goals, and two assists as the Capitals went 2-0-1.
Of Ovechkin’s four goals, two were power play goals, and one of them was also a game winning goal which came last night as Ovechkin tallied four points against Toronto.
Ovechkin also had a total of 20 shots as well.
1. Brad Marchand (BOS):

This week Brad Marchand was on fire.
Marchand recorded two goals, and five assists for a total of seven points in three games played; all of which the Bruins won.
Even more impressive Marchand did this with a total of 16 penalty minutes, and finished the week with a plus-minus rating of plus-6.
