Detroit Lions Fire Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn

Heading into the 2020 NFL Season, Detroit Lions Head Coach Matt Patricia and General Manager Bob Quinn were on thin ice and were expected to be on the hot seat if this season did not go well for Detroit. After starting the season 4-7 and losing the last 2 games only scoring 25 points, the Detroit Lions are making some major changes. On Saturday, reported by Ian Rappaport, the Detroit Lions have fired Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn. Patricia has been with the team since 2018. Quinn has been the with the team since 2016.

Since hiring Matt Patrica to replace Jim Caldwell as head coach, Patrica has a record of 13-29-1. During his time with Detriot, Patrica never finished better than 4th place in the NFC North and won no more than 6 games in each season.

During his time as General Manager, Bob Quinn was responsible for the signings of Desmond Trufant, Trey Flowers, and Marvin Jones. During the NFL Draft, Quinn was responsible for drafting Jeff Okudah, T.J. Hockenson , and Kerryon Johnson.
