Bowl season is officially underway starting today at noon as North Carolina A&T takes on Alcorn State. Below are my predictions for each bowl game December 15th-21st.
Saturday, December 15th
Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl
North Carolina A&T vs Alcorn State
This Matchup will determine the de facto HBCU National Champion and the North Carolina A&T Aggies are looking for their second straight HBCU National Title over the Alcorn State Braves, who are looking for their first since 2014.
Prediction: North Carolina A&T wins 31-27.
New Mexico Bowl
North Texas vs Utah State
The North Texas Mean Green can win 10 game for the first time in school history with a win, while the Utah State Aggies the to keep their high scoring-offense going as they average 47.2 points a game.
Prediction: Utah State over North Texas 58-31
AutoNation Cure Bowl
Louisiana vs Tulane
Only 135 miles separate Louisiana and Tulane. The Tulane Green Wave haven’t won a bowl game since 2002 defeating Hawaii 36-28 in the Hawaii Bowl. On the other hand, the Louisiana Rajin’ Cajuns are 6-22 against the Green Wave all time. Tulane won the last meeting 41-39 in 4 overtimes.
Prediction: Tulane wins it’s first bowl game since 2002, 33-28.
Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl
#23 Fresno State vs Arizona State
The Fresno State Bulldogs look to win 12 games for the first time in 97-year history of their program and look to beat the Arizona State Sun Devils for the first time in school history. The Sun Devils will look to end their post season slump as they have only won 2 bowl games their last 8 attempts.
Prediction: Fresno State 42 Arizona State 24
Raycom Media Camellia Bowl
Georgia Southern vs Eastern Michigan
The Georgia Southern Eagles look to win 10 games for the first time since joining the FBS in 2014, after going 2-10 last season. The Eagles of Eastern Michigan are playing only their third D1 bowl game. Their only bowl victory was a 30-27 win against San Jose State in the California Bowl in 1987.
Prediction: Georgia Southern 24 Eastern Michigan 23
R+L Carriers New Orleans Schedule
Appalachian State vs Middle Tennessee
The Appalachian State Mountaineers are 3-0 in Bowl games since joining the FBS, while the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders are looking for back-to-back bowl wins for the first time in school history. Both teams have played great defense as the Mountaineers allowed 15.7 points per game, whole the Blue Raiders held their past 7 opponents to 17 or fewer.
Prediction: Appalachian State 31 Middle Tennessee 10

Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl
UAB vs NIU
The UAB Blazers take on the Northern Illinois Huskies in the only non- New Years Six Bowl game that features conference champions. UAB is looking to win its first bowl game in the 21 year program history, which saw the program shutdown in 2014 and brought back shortly after. The Huskies are looking to snap a 5-game losing streak in bowl games with their last win coming in 2011 in the Godaddy.com Bowl 38-20 over Arkansas State
Prediction: UAB 23 NIU 22

DXL Frisco Bowl
Ohio vs San Diego State
The San Diego State Aztecs are going to try to snap a three-game losing steak and maintain their unbeaten record against MAC Opponents(13-0-1) as they take on the Ohio Bobcats. The Bobcats are trying to win back-to-back bowl games for the second time in school history and first time since 2011-2012.
Prediction: Ohio 35 San Diego State 27

Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl
USF vs Marshall
The Marshall Thundering Herd are 11-2 in Bowl games as an FBS member. The Herd’s 84.6 percent is the highest win percentage of any FBS program with at least 5 postseason appearances. The Bulls of South Florida have not won a game since October 20. They started the season 7-0 to become bowl eligible.
Prediction: Marshall 42 USF 21

Makers Wanteed Bahamas Bowl
FIU vs Toledo
The FIU Golden Panthers can get their ninth win of the season, which would be a school first. They haven’t won a bowl game since beating Toledo in the 2010 Little Caesar’s Bowl. The Toledo Rockets are trying to win their first bowl game since 2015, where they defeated Temple in the Boca Raton Bowl 32-17
Prediction: Toledo 24 FIU 23
Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
Western Michigan vs BYU
The Western Michigan Broncos did not play in a bowl game last year after going 6-6 and haven’t won a bowl game since beating Middle Tennessee 45-31 in the 2015 Bahamas Bowl. The BYU Cougars are 0-5 on that pesky Boise State Blue Turf. Their most recent loss on that turf was November 3rd.
Prediction: BYU finally wins on the blue turf 49-30
