De Bruyne Out For Three Months

Kevin De Bruyne has been ruled out from any professional soccer for the next three months. According to Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, the Belgian midfielder will have to miss all games in the EPL and UEFA Champions League group stage matches until December.

Allegedly, the 27-year-old’s right knee’s ligament finally gave out this preseason due to extensive fatigue from packing in intensive game time between the Premier League-winning season and FIFA World Cup.

However, the staff at Manchester City remains positive, seeing De Bruyne’s recovery as just a matter of time.

De Bruyne has been a very important piece for Belgium’s third place success in Russia. Most notably, he helped them in midfield and landing a laser shot against Brazil in the quarterfinals that sent them to the semifinal against France.

His absence will most likely be noticed in Manchester City’s performance, affecting their chances of success, domestically and in Europe.
