Daniel Bryan No Longer Under WWE Contract

On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan in the main event and the stipulation was Bryan would be banished from SmackDown if he lost. Just days after the match, more details have come out about Bryan’s future in WWE. On Tuesday Night, Fightful Select reported that Daniel Bryan is no longer under contract with the WWE. After losing to Reigns, Daniel Bryan was moved to the alumni page of WWE.com.

During his time with the WWE, Bryan has won the World Heavyweight Championship once, WWE Championship four times, WWE Tag Team Championship once with Kane, WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship once with Erick Rowan, WWE United States Championship once, and Mr. Money In The Bank in 2011. Bryan is also the twenty-sixth triple crown champion in WWE History and the fifteenth Grand Slam Champion in WWE History.

Despite not being the biggest guy in the ring, Daniel Bryan made up for it becoming one of the best technical wrestlers in WWE and one of the biggest underdogs in WWE history. Outside of wrestling, Bryan connected with the crowd with his never-say-die attitude and his ability on the microphone.
