Dani Ceballos to Return to Arsenal on Loan

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos appears to be on the precipice of accepting a deal that will send him back to Arsenal on another loan spell. According to Jose Luis Sanchez from Radio Marca in Spain, Real intends to send the 24-year-old back to the club he performed at last season in order to sharpen his skills for another year before possibly finding a permanent space on Zinedine Zidane’s roster.

As of right now, there are no concrete details about the deal itself. It’s unknown whether or not this move will feature an option to buy, nor even how long it will last. However, it can be said that Arsenal are so much in favor of this move that they’ve sent Real at least three offers for the Spaniard over the past several weeks.

That is indeed understandable considering how much the midfielder had progressed over his first spell at the Emirates. While his statistics won’t turn any heads, he did prove to be a valuable piece during Arsenal’s run to win their first FA Cup since 2017.

One man who is exceeding high on Ceballos is Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who told the press that he was optimistic that a move could be made prior to his team’s victory in the Community Shield a few days ago.

“We had some talks. Dani knows really well what I think about him. He was pretty clear to me as well that his intention was to remain with us…He is a player we are interested in because we really saw in the last few months of the season what he is capable of bringing to us.”

Elsewhere at Arsenal, the club is also closing in on completing a move to Lille midfielder Gabriel Magalhães. The player has reportedly agreed to personal terms, according to The Guardian, and the two clubs have also agreed on a fee. At least right now, it appears pretty certain that both Magalhães and Ceballos should be announced later on this week at the earliest.
