Conor McGregor, UFC household name, is reportedly under investigation in his home country of Ireland for Sexual Assault. The news comes the day after the MMA legend “retired” from the sport via Twitter.

According to the New York Times, a woman is accusing McGregor of assaulting her at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. McGregor was reportedly arrested and questioned in mid-January by police, however, he was released “pending further investigation”. The arrest was reported on by Irish news media in January, however, they did not release his identity to the public.
It should be noted that McGregor has not formally been charged at this time, and is only a subject in an investigation.
