Chris Johnson Accused of Murder-for-Hire Plot

Former All-Pro running back Chris Johnson had been accused of funding a murder that left two men dead in 2016. Johnson allegedly hired a gang member to kill these two men after they killed his friend back in 2015. Johnson has not been formally charged with anything yet, and denies any involvement in the crime. We will keep you updated on this story as it develops.

Johnson retired from the NFL in 2018 after stints with the Titans, Jets, and Cardinals. He amassed 9,651 rushing yards in his nine year career, with his most memorable season being in 2009. His 2009 season is considered to be one of the best seasons by a running back ever. He gained 2,006 yards on 358 carries to go along with 14 touchdowns. This season earned him an All- Pro nod, an OPOY award, and the nickname CJ2K.
