Chelsea Fire Lampard After 2 Seasons

Chelsea Fire Lampard After 2 Seasons

After spending over £200 million on Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, this season for Chelsea has not gone as expected and now Frank Lampard will be looking for a new job. On Monday, Chelsea announced that they have fired Lampard after 2 seasons with the team. Thomas Tuchel is expected to take over for Lampard.

During his time with Chelsea, Lampard has a record of 44-17-23. On paper, that record is amazing for a manager but the biggest problems come at the Premier League level where Lampard has a record of 28-11-18.

So far this season, Chelsea is 9th in the Premier League with 29 points and have a record of 8-5-6. Even though Chelsea is in 9th place, the team is only 5 points behind 4th place, Liverpool, and 11 points behind 1st place Manchester United. In the last 5 Premier League games, Chelsea has been able to pull out a win in just 1 game.
