CB Patrick Peterson is heading to the NFC North. The Minnesota Vikings have had secondary issues over the past few seasons. They addressed those issues in one simple move today as free agency is officially open. The Minnesota Vikings and CB Patrick Peterson have come to a one year, $10 million contract extension. The 30 year old future Hall Of Famer has found a new home in the NFC North.
In Peterson’s ten year career he has been to 8 Pro Bowl’s and been named to 3 All-Pro teams. The leadership and knowledge he will be able to pass down to what is left of the young Minnesota defensive backfield is paramount to none. Peterson has been shutting down top tier wideouts since he was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 1st round of the 2011 NFL draft.
As the Cardinals look to get younger, the older players have been sent to the market. CB Patrick Peterson was also named to the All 2010’s Hall Of Fame team. In his career he has a total 499 tackles, 4 sacks, 28 interceptions, 19 fumble recoveries, and 91 passes defended. Larry Fitzgerald is still on the open market and he has not retired yet.
