Carson Wentz Has Fractured Vertebra

Coming off an ACL tear last season, Carson Wentz is now back on the injury report with a fractured vertebra and the highly anticipated rematch between Jared Goff and Wentz is now unlikely.

Reports stated that Wentz was feeling soreness and tightness in his back before tests showed the fracture. After experiencing injuries over the past year, Wentz’s season will once again be in jeopardy.

The Philadelphia Eagles will continue their season with Nick Foles as quarterback who also stepped in for Wentz last year. Foles has had great success with the Eagles, leading them to a Super Bowl win last against the New England Patriots.

Doug Pederson’s team still has playoff hopes alive with a 6-7 record, right behind the 8-5 Cowboys. For Wentz, time will tell whether or not playing the rest of the season will make the fracture worse.
