Bruins Trading For Stone?

Bruins Trading For Stone?

With the trade deadline quickly approaching, it is expected that many playoff teams will be looking to beef up, and deepen their rosters as they prepare for a Stanley Cup run.

The Boston Bruins are currently one of those teams.

Boston right now has won six consecutive games, and find themselves second in the Atlantic Division behind the Tampa Lightning.

With the Ottawa Senators potentially not being able to get a deal done with Forward Mark Stone, Boston would reportedly go all in to get Stone according to Larry Brooks.

“Told that Bruins will be all in on Stone if Senators are unable to sign winger to extension.” Larry Brooks (@NYP_Brooksie)

The Right Winger has 28 goals, and 33 assists for 61 points on the season.

Stone would also had some size to the Bruins offense, as he stands at 6’4″ and 219 lbs.

If the Bruins can get Stone, their first line would then be Bergeron, Marchand, and Stone, as Pastrnak is currently out with a left thumb injury.

The Bruins are certainly looking strong at this point in the season, however they must be aware that in order to get out of the Second Round they will most likely have to defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning who are in first place in the entire NHL with a record of 45-11-4, and a league high of 237 goals for.
