Brown’s 1st Round Pick Exits Game With Injury

The Cleveland Browns are awaiting an update on the No.4 overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. Cornerback, Denzel Ward left the preseason matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles with a back injury.

Denzel Ward was seen reaching for his lower back after an awkward tackle on tight end  Zach Ertz. However, Ward managed to get up and walk off the field with assistance from the medical team and headed to the locker room. The rookie cornerback did not return to the game. The Browns defeated the former SuperBowl champions 5-0 last night, despite Ward’s absence.

Cleveland are hoping to receive a positive update as the first round pick has shown potential during the off-season, becoming an instant starter in the Brown’s defensive backfield.
